Meanwhile, the relaxed COVID-19 lock-down rules might see a surge in travel as families seek to reunite at Christmas time. The relief that COVID-19 is in abeyance might also see pressure to spend this Christmas, but unless you have been judiciously saving for an extravaganza, we reckon it’s best to keep Christmas-related expenditure modest this year so that you don’t end up paying for it months afterwards.
