Men’s Bowls

Emily Thomas, Sophie Phelan, Lucy Atkinson, Lillian Harrison, Eadie Brown and Dimity Rogers enjoying Canowindra Swimming Club last Friday night.

Fourteen players competed in social mixed mufti bowls last Friday night with the winners being the team of Michael Traves, Joice McNaught and Joyce Middleton and the runners up being Steve Kirkman and Betty Jenkins.

Last Saturday a semi-final of the Major Triples was played with Garry Fairley, Ron Symons and Ian Nelder against Phil Brent and Zac Lees. After six ends Garry’s team was leading 6-1 but from then on Phil’s team took control of the game to win the match 23-15.

Last Sunday the O’Brien Cup Final was played with Brian McClintock and Roger Traves against Brad Bourke and Vinnie Mirto. After 14 ends the scores were close being 23-21 in favour of Brad and Vinnie. Brad and Vinnie were able to win four of the next six ends to win the final 31-23.

Friday November 29: Social mixed mufti pairs bowls sponsored by Men’s Bowls. First 14 teams accepted with names in by 6pm for 6.30pm start. $10 per team. One game of 15 ends.

Sunday December 1: Major Triples Final – A Wyburn, T Tuimauga and M Lawrence v P Lees, B Lees and Z Lees. Play to commence at 3.30pm.

Wednesday badge draw will be $600, Friday badge draw will be $200 and Sunday badge draw will be $1,250. Don’t forget Bingo this Thursday at 11am.
