Men’s Bowls

Last weekend two mixed pairs matches were played. Karen Cox and Cyril Webb played Gwen Haydon and Mark Wright where Gwen and Mark had a comfortable win 26-19. David Beath and Joyce Mid- dleton won against Steve Kirkman and Di Slattery. A O’Brien Cup match was also played with Brian McClintock and Roger Traves against Tot Fisher and Peter Taylor. After 11 ends the scores were close with the scores 22-19 in favour of Tot and Peter. Then Brian and Roger took control of the game winning 35-29. A major triples match was played with Peter Taylor David Beath and Roger Traves against Tony Tuimauga Alan Wyburn and Teddy Lawrence. Teddy’s team had a comfortable win 21-9.

Friday October 11: Social triples mixed mufti bowls sponsored by bar staff with winners receiving $120 and runners up $60. First 14 teams with entry fee being $15 per team. Teams must be mixed. Turn around triples with names in by 6pm for 6.30pm start. One game of 15 ends.

Saturday October 12: Mixed pairs- V Mirto and J McNaught V G and J Fairley. D Beath and J Middleton V M Wright and G Haydon. Major triples- N Delaney D Watt L Nunn V B and C Webb S Kirkman.

Sunday October 13: Minor triples- G Fairley R Symons K Walker V A Wyburn W Fisher B McClintock.
This Saturday 12 October the footy tipping party will be held from 6pm for 6.30pm start. $25 for non tippers.

Sunday October 20: Alan Wyburn (Westy) Presidents Day. Three games of 12 ends. $75 per team includes Chinese lunch. 9am rollup for 9.30am start. Wins plus ends. Winners and runners up prizes. Best end round prize.

Wednesday badge draw will be $200.

Friday badge draw will be $300. Sunday badge draw will be $850. Bingo this Thursday 11am.
