Men’s Bowls

Last Saturday an O’Brien Cup match was played with Steve Kirkman and Ian Nelder against Tot Fisher and Peter Taylor. Tot and Peter took control early in the game to win the match 24-11 even though Steve and Ian scored more ends.

Last Sunday two Mixed Pairs matches were played. Terry and Di Mooney played Roger Traves and Betty Jenkins. Roger and Betty took the lead early and maintained it throughout the game to win 25-19. In the other match Larry Nunn and Sue Rye played Vinnie Mirto and Joice McNaught. After 14 ends the scores were close with

Larry and Sue leading 25-23, but after that Vinnie and Joice won 17 shots in the next six ends to win the game 40-25.

Saturday October 5: Minor Triples – A Wyburn, W Fisher, B McClintock v R Sy- mons, G Fairley and K Walker. Mixed Pairs – C Webb and Karen Cox v M Wright and G Haydon.

Sunday October 6: O’Brien Cup – W Fisher and P Taylor v B McClintock and R Traves. Mixed Pairs – D Beath and J Middle- ton v S Kirkman and D Slattery. Followed by Sunday Sessions at the Bowlo performed by Bogans Heroes from 3-7pm.
