Last Saturday two O’Brien Cup matches were played. Brad Burke and Vinnie Mirto played Larry Nunn and Cyril Webb where Brad and Vinnie were always in control of the game winning the match 33-19. In the other O’Brien Cup match Crock Watt and Barney Robson played Steve Kirkman and Ian Nelder. After 13 ends Crock and Barney had a big lead 26-15 but somehow Steve and Ian were able to bridge the gap and win the game 34-27.
A Consistency Singles match was also played with Peter Taylor against Tot Fisher. After 13 ends the scores were close being 97-93 in favour of Peter. After that Peter was able to edge away to win the game 154-126.
Saturday July 6 – Consistency Singles – B Webb v T Tuimauga and Marker G Fairley. L Nunn v D Beath and Marker S Kirkman. B McClintock v D Watt and Marker T Mooney. V Mirto v M Wright and Marker P Taylor.
Sunday July 7 – Major Fours Final – S Kirkman, B McClintock, B and C Webb v P Kennedy, P Taylor, D Beath and R Traves.
