The winners of twilight barefoot bowls last Friday night were Steve Kirkman and Matt McMullen and the runners up were Tot Fisher and Jeanette Wheeldon.
Last Saturday a major pairs match was played with Alan Wyburn and Phil Lees against Peter Taylor and Phil Lees. Alan and Phil led throughout the game winning 27-20. A minor singles was also played with Glen Burrows against Steve Kirkman.
After 10 ends the scores were close with Steve leading 12-10. After that Steve took control of the game winning 32-21.
Last Sunday the final round of pennants was played. The No 5’s won against Parkes Railway 9 points to 1 and the No 7’s won against Gooloogong 9 points to 1.
Congratulations to the No 5’s who progress to zone level with the playoffs to be played at Grenfell on May 5 and 6.
Friday April 20 – Be sure to be at the club by 6.00pm if you wish to participate in the novelty event worth a jackpot of $570. This will be followed by twilight barefoot bowls.
