We had some good contest over the weekend. Brent and Corey had a one shot margin over Glen and Deb. This match was incredibly close throughout and Glen and Deb nearly snatched victory at the end of the game 20/19.
In the major triples matches Glen and Deb backed up with Eryn joining them to play Marc, Greg and Jamie S. It didn’t go to plan for Glen, Deb and Eryn who couldn’t match the consistency of Marc, Greg and Jamie S, eventually winning 32/13.
Brent also back up for a major triples matches, Phil and Jamie G join him for a good win over Lisa, Tracey and Cristy.
It was good to see the sportsmanship in game with Phil, Brent and Jamie giving Lisa, Tracey and Cristy some coaching during the match.
On Saturday a major singles match was played between Barney and Teddy against Marc and Jamie S. The match eventually went down the wire with scores locked at 14/14 on the 15th end. Teddy and Barney scored 7 shots on the next two ends to give them some breathing room. Marc and Jamie S won the last three ends but couldn’t bridge the gap. Final score 21/18.
There was a good roll up Thursday afternoon with 14 players enjoying the sunshine for social bowls. It was good to see many players turning up and social bowls will be held again next Thursday at 2pm.
