On the weekend of 23 and 24 May there were two major pairs matches. David Beath and Peter Taylor defeated Eryn Traves and Brad Bourke 22/16. In the other match Roger Traves and Phil Lees defeated up-andcoming bowlers Corey Rooke and Peter Tanti 21/11.These two new bowlers will be the future of the club, they played very well.
Last weekend only one match was played and David Beath and Peter Taylor defeated Roger Traves and Phil Lees 16/15. David and Peter handle the conditions better on the day. Roger and Phil came late in the game to almost cause an upset.
Players should make themselves available for Saturday game and Sunday or double up on one day for morning and afternoon matches.
This Saturday will see possibly 12 players from Cowra coming for a roll, if available players are invitred to join in for a fun afternoon and maybe a BBQ.
Social bowls will be played on Sunday at 3.30pm. Monday social bowls will be played at 1.30pm with club opening at 1pm. If numbers allow, there may be another BBQ,and prizes. Badge draws for this week are Wednesday $1,450, Friday $200 and Sunday $400. Thursday afternoon bowls will be played at 2pm.
