Minor pairs winners Mitch and Jamie.
Last Thursday a singles match between Marc and Greg C was played. Marc was back in form and had a good win.
The weekend delivered some exciting game of bowls. On Saturday Caine took it right up to the previous winner of major sini
gles championship, Phil. Phil won the last five ends to come from behind to win 28/17.
Mitch continued his run of success taking the win over up and coming bowler Greg W, 25/12. Caine stepped back up for his second game against Larry. In a tight game, Caine defeated Larry.
In a major pairs match on Sunday Marc and Greg C teamed up to play Crock and Larry. This game could have gone either way. Crock was in excellent form and Larry supporting him well took the game away from Greg C and Marc.
The minor pairs final was the highlight of the games held last weekend and didn’t disappoint. Eryn and Greg W played Mitch and Jamie S, with both teams being relatively new bowlers in the competition format, it was a titanic battle.
Scores were even right throughout the match with the scores looked at 15/15 with three ends to play. Mitch and Jamie scoring a point on the next two ends to lead 17/15 with one to play. Jamie S put a bowl very close to the kitty, setting up the win. Eryn only just missed moving the kitty back for the two shots needed to tie. Well played to both teams.
There will be two matches on Wednesday between Crowey and Brent and the other game will be between Jack and Mitch.
There will be mufti bowls on Monday at 1.30pm start, with a bbq following the games.
Head along to the Sunday session on 8 June commencing at 4pm. Michael Wynne will be performing a great array of music.
