Men’s Bowls

The only game played last weekend was the gripping final of the O’Brien Cup be­tween Tony Tuimauga and Ben Rooke against the experienced Peter Taylor and newcomer at Canowindra Jamie Stewart.

There was a close encounter early, but Tony and Ben went on to win in a strong performance 32/22. Congratulations to all for making the final.

This week we have the Zone 4 open sen­ior fours and women fours playing with 42 players, commencing on Saturday at 9am There will be a number of great matches.

On the local scene the minor fours will be played at 1pm on Saturday, Jamie Grant, Graham Traves, David Watt and Michael Traves V Barry Bourke, Greg Chester, Mark Wright and Brad Bourke.

On Sunday at 1pm, a Major Fours will be played between Roger Traves, David Beath, Peter Taylor and Greg Wright V Brent Lees, Phil Lees, Warren Fisher and Brian McClintock. Good luck to all players.

On Thursday we had 8 players turn out to try their luck to win the jackpot. This Thues­day games will be on again at 2pm.

Friday night bowls had excellent turn­out with 20 players testing their skill. Get names in early for Fridays twilight bowls.

The badge draws are as follows:

Wednesday $300, Friday $300, Sunday $150. Don’t forget upcoming events Mo­vember and triva night, check the Face­book page for details.
