Men’s Bowls

15 May, 2024 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

The number 6s have completed their sectional play with a comprehensive win over Millthorpe. All three rinks had a win, which resulted in a 10/0 result.

We hope the 6s can continue their form this weekend at Cowra in the zone play offs. Their first game will be against a strong Parkes Railway side at 8.30am on Saturday 18th May. The second round on Saturday afternoon will be against Wallerawang.

On Sunday morning, they will play Dubbo City to conclude the round robin. The players can catch the bus at the club which will be leaving no later than 7.50am.

The number 7s finished second in their section, with the strong Cowra team finished on top.

Well done to all the players who have played this year and good luck to the 6s this weekend. Thanks to Sharon Wynn and team for catering for our home games of pennants and the team behind our BBQ.

The club hosted a prawn and chicken night last weekend, and it was well attended, with music supplied by Cheap Seats keeping guests entertained. Thanks to Shrewyn and David and their helpers for organising the event.

It has been a successful visit to club for some of our members with all badge draws being won. Next week the badge draws will be Wednesday and Sunday $100 and Friday $200.

Minor triples game drawn for the weekend will notified by phone.
