Canowindra rumbled to life on Saturday 12 September for the 10th Annual Johnny Wythes Memorial Run. John was a local singer and songwriter who
passed away in 2005 after battling with Parkinson’s Disease, a progressive neurological condition that develops slowly over time and is categorised by clinicians as a “movement disorder”.
Each year, John’s family, friends and associates get together to remember his life and his music. They meet at Cargo Inn and visit his grave before travelling through the local towns including Canowindra and Woodstock before returning to Cargo.
After lunch they stopped at the Royal Hotel and the main street was lined with motorbikes on each side. The Hotel overflowed onto the street with leather clad bikers.
