Next Sunday 7th April from 3-6pm the Canowindra Community Bowls and Recreation Club will welcome back an absolute gem of a performer and an amazing guitarist to the Sunday Sessions at The Bowlo, Matt Arthur.
“Matt blew us away with his sensational stage presence and songs that got everyone rocking and singing along last time,” said Eleena Markcrow, event organiser.
Performing many of his own songs and song requests from all over the floor including a version of a Nirvana song, which took the breath away from the audience, Matt Arthur is nothing short of the amazing talent which we look forward to supporting and embracing in the region.
“I love the atmosphere and vibe of a small town show – it definitely matches, if not beats what you get in the city. As a muso I feel like I’ve been welcomed with open arms by every community I play for, and so for me, it’s these gigs that mean the most. The crowd makes it fun for me – so I look forward to making it fun for the Canowindra crowd!”
Matt is a regular at many venues around the region and only just announced that his band the 1969 Show has been invited to play with the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra on May 25 at the Concourse as part of the Sydney Vivid Festival.
We welcome back Matt Arthur to Canowindra and the local beer masters at Pioneer Brewing Co who have donated a keg of their fine local beer, every schooner purchased goes straight back into supporting the Sunday Sessions. We also offer a courtesy bus to and from in town call Peter from 2pm on Sunday 0459 913 894.
Tickets for the Sunday Session raffles will be on sale to win the ‘surf and turf’ tray thanks to Muzzy’s Quality Meats and award winning wines from local Windowrie Wines.
