A great team of locals are again taking part in the annual fundraiser walk from Cargo to Grenfell from 10-12th March 2022.
The Cargo to Grenfell Walk is a registered fundraising event that takes place annually in March between the two towns of Cargo and Grenfell.
Participants are put to the test of both mental and physical endurance during the 96km trek with the aim to raise awareness and funds to increase education around mental health and suicide prevention.
Participants of the walk can register for all three days or only one day or two days. Day 1 kicks off in Cargo with walkers heading to Canowindra, Day 2 is Canowindra to Gooloogong and on the final day on Saturday walkers will make the final leg from Gooloogong to Grenfell.
All funds raised on the walk go back into local regional communities to ensure everyone has access to mental health services in the area.
The organisers of the event would like to give a massive shout out to Lawrence’s IGA in Canowindra for their donation of water and Powerade’s for the event.
