Local Woman Launches The Bush Boutique

The Bush Boutique is an online collective of bush-based product businesses with a range of wholesale opportunities. Country and city store’s alike can shop and stock the beautiful ranges of authentically Australian products from the bush, from the comfort of their own home or store.

Founded by Dannielle Maere who lives in Cargo but is originally from Canowindra and owner of bush business Meeraboo, says this Covid-19 concept was created after listening to a range of fellow businesses in their ongoing effort to find stockists for their beautiful products.

“This concept doesn’t just establish a promotional platform for bush-based product businesses, it also provides a centralised website for stores in search of unique, Australian designed and made products to stock,” Dannielle said. The collective of businesses create, hand-make and/or sell beautiful Australian designed and made

products and are interested in expanding their stockist base. However, Covid-19 has resulted in the cancellation of trade fairs, limiting their ability to get in front of potential stockists at a pivotal time – pre-Christmas.

“During Covid-19, we have had to change the way we find stockists. This led me to begin growing my stockist base online via social media and e-marketing, which can be time consuming and at times, dis- heartening. I wanted to create a platform for businesses like mine to showcase their products to a captive audience, and so The Bush Boutique was born,” continued Dannielle.

The Bush Boutique will be hosting a Virtual Trade Fair from 10 – 17 August and are inviting country and city stores to register to gain access to wholesale offers and specials.
