Local Solicitors Committed To Canowindra

9 May, 2018 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Garden & Montgomerie are a leading law firm in Central West NSW, with offices in Cowra and Canowindra. “We’ve serviced the region for over 100 years, maintaining strong ties to the life of the local community. As well as caring for your personal legal needs, we offer an extensive range of commercial legal services provided by our team of experts. Our larger business clients enjoy access to premium legal support for complex matters without having to look outside the region,” said Principal Grant Chamberlain.

The Garden & Montgomerie Canowindra office will move to their new premises from 4th June 2018 after they purchased the old NAB Bank Building at the end of 2017. Garden and Montgomerie are open in Canowindra on both Mondays and Wednesday for all of your needs.

The Garden & Montgomerie team are very excited to be moving into their new premises at 69 Gaskill St and would like to invite their past and present clients along with the Canowindra community to the opening on Wednesday 6th June from 5.30pm. Please RSVP to rosa@gandm.com.au by 23rd May 2018.

Garden & Montgomerie’s office in Canowindra was founded in a fibro attachment behind the current Garden & Montgomerie shop at 59 Gaskill Street by Graeme Johnstone in about 1973. Graeme continued to service his Canowindra clients until his retirement in 2004.

The Garden & Montgomerie Canowindra team consists of Principal Grant Chamberlain, a highly experienced solicitor who has practiced law since 1994. He joined Garden & Montgomerie in 2004 and has been a partner since 2006. Grant’s main areas of expertise include rural conveyancing, commercial law, estate and succession planning, Wills and probates. Lachlan Patterson, Associate Solicitor is a local from Canowindra and joined the team in 2016 as an extremely capable young lawyer. Lachlan attends to both residential and rural conveyancing, leases and liquor licences, as well as Wills and estate matters. Lachlan and Grant both attend
Garden & Montgomerie’s Canowindra office on a regular basis.

Grant Chamberlain and Lachlan Patterson look forward to continuing to service their Canowindra clients from their new offices.
“Purchasing our own building in Canowindra is a sign of our commitment to the future of our Canowindra practice,” said Grant Chamberlain.

Interestingly, Lachlan’s grandmother Jacquelyn Mate was a long time employee of Garden & Montgomerie and is well known to Garden & Montgomerie clients as she staffed the Canowindra office as Graeme Johnstone’s secretary for many years.
