The Mandagery Creek Farm Kitchen is one of our region’s most unique dining experiences. Held on the second Saturday of every month, hosts and farmers Tim and Sophie Hansen welcome small groups to their property for a three-course lunch at the communal table, a farm tour and informal cooking demonstration.
“We want to give people a real farm experience – and real farm hospitality,” Sophie says. “And of course we want to showcase our beautiful venison, to let them experience themselves how easy it is to cook and what a delicious and healthy alternative red meat it is.”
On the slopes of Mount Canobolas, about 25 minutes from Orange and Canowindra respectively, the Hansens’ Farm Kitchen is surrounded by pine forest and sits in a large garden and when the weather permits, groups sit on a long table outside under the trees.
The next Mandagery Creek Farm Kitchen lunch will be held on February 8, cost is $75pp and the event is BYO (save a glass of bubbles on arrival). To book contact Sophie on 0400 032 326.
