Little Athetics stars Sophie Phelan and Laura Price.
Athletes from Canowindra Little Athletics Centre had a massive weekend at the Region 3 Championships in Dubbo, competing in long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot put, discus, javelin, 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m running events.
Noah Grey, Finn Grey, Laura Price, Alex Rice, Lachlan Rice, Sophie Phelan, Thomas Phelan and Claire Phelan all represented their club with pride and achieved some excellent results throughout the competition.
Special mention to the following athletes:
• Noah Grey: 1st 800m, 3rd 400m and 3rd long jump
• Sophie Phelan: 2nd triple jump, 3rd javelin and 3rd high jump
• Laura Price: 2nd long jump, 3rd discus and 3rd javelin
• Lachlan Rice: 1st discus, 1st triple jump and 1st high jump
• Alex Rice: 1st discus and 3rd shot put
Noah, Laura, Sophie, Alex and Lachlan will all represent Canowindra Little Athletics Centre at the State Track and Field Championships in Homebush in March.
