Lions Call On Canowindra To Help It’s Highschool

10 September, 2014 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Canowindra Lions club has set up a community fund to raise money for the High School after the malicious vandalism last week did an estimated $100,000 worth of damage to infrastructure and inventory. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover all areas of the damage inflicted by the vandals so the Lions would like to help raise money to alleviate the pressure on the School and the P&C. For the next two weeks Lions members will be collecting donations from the community to go towards the recovery effort at the High School. The Age of Fishes Museum and Visitor Information Centre have agreed to be the collection point for these donations. Please feel free to drop into the museum with your contribution or alternatively call the manager Warren Keedle on 63441008 to arrange alternative methods such as direct deposit or credit card contributions. You can also send a cheque directly to the Lions Club at the following address; Canowindra Lions Club c/o Dr Kumar 106 Gaskill St Canowindra 2804 Anything you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
