Hello,
I’m hoping maybe one of your readers might be able to help us. To put you in the picture, we moved here almost 4 years ago for a country change from Springwood in the Blue Mountains. We loved Canowindra from the moment we arrived and finally found ‘home’. Within a week or so after we moved here, we found out that my husband’s Great grandfather, Gordon Kennedy Minter and Helena Minter (nee Townsend) were land holders in the area late 1800’s early 1900’s – ALAS we have relatives in the Canowindra cemetery (so now we must be locals). Gordon was a magistrate in the local area however, one of his son’s, Linden Minter drowned in the Belubula river aged 14 (1903) and we haven’t been able to locate his grave. We have located other family member graves such as George Townsend (Linden’s uncle) however, we can’t find Linden and he has become close to our heart. Maybe someone can help us find him!
Regards Diana Frost
