To the Editor,
In a reply to the letter from a visitor that appeared in The Canowindra Phoenix on 10th March 2022.
I whole heartedly agree with the comments made by the writer.
I have lived in Canowindra for over a year now and I have been saddened and surprised that the main street is so drab, rundown and frankly shabby.
This little town deserves more care than it has been getting and as a new comer I see things as visitors see them, as they say “first impressions last”.
The main street would look so much more inviting with some lovely trees and many more planter boxes full of flowers.
I’m sure there is someone on Council who could tend to the plants and make sure they are kept watered.
There is much work needed in so many areas. We need to show pride and care in our town.
