To the Editor of The Phoenix,
We have spent two days in Canowindra and this is from a visitor point of view.
The “Historic Main Street” from the sad Junction Hotel to the park corner does disappoint. Most buildings need paint and the propped up verandas are not good!
In some places in the main street, the footpaths are very dirty, especially around the ATM and in the areas on each side of it.
Then the general town streets with overgrown footpaths and gutters, full of weeds. It just says neglect. Are there any council representatives in the town? This needs to be noted and addressed!
However, I would like to say we found the people in the shops very pleasant and helpful.
Yours, Martin Moore
