Hi Sarah,
Cabonne Council workers did a great job planting the footpath along Ferguson St in the last month or so. It’s good to see Cabonne investing in Canowindra’s street appeal. Some shade and colour in summer will be very welcome along this busy street.
This weekend though, many of the wood- en stakes supporting the new plants on the footpath were pulled with some speared several metres over backyard fences. These stakes are back in place to give the new plants a chance to survive this vandalism. I saw a few plants a bit further up the street that didn’t fare so well over the weekend.
While this is a familiar story in many places across Australia, let’s not make it Canowindra’s story. Now’s the time to make our home town even more attractive for the locals and visitors.
Cheers,
Mary Goodacre
