We are going good but had a few problems when coming down from Cape York. Day one 400kms to Arthur River all good, day two 410kms to Palmer River but alas 70 kms in we broke a front stub axle on the driver side front dual axle. Chocked up with chunk of red gum and over 2 days travelled 940kms to Townsville into the caravan repair business to get 2 new axles and bearings. Meanwhile Deb spots a 2016 New Age Big Red 25 foot van, so all in all we bought it and swapped all gear over then sat down for a couple of days.
Too busy for fishing and by Friday went down to Mackay for 2 days. Sunday 4th we came down through Rockhampton to the Silver Wattle Van Park at Mount Morgan to meet up with brother Ray from Melbourne hiding up here for winter. Tuesday 6th turning West across to Longreach through Emerald and Anakie. There is a week long gem festival on so may stay at Anakie to have a look. Catch you all up in a couple of weeks out West.
