Have you seen any damage to our street signs lately?
Dear Editor,
To the vandals that have destroyed street signs and small trees. I suspect you all are young people with lots of energy and when out having a good time you are likened to little puppies, destructive and stupid.
Because of this, I am concerned for you all. If you continue, eventually it will lead to more serious acts such as theft or possibly injury to your fellow man.
We, the older residents, were young once and maybe for some, behaved badly. We understand to a point why you are doing this. However, we also understand that we all should assume civic responsibility.
So many people work hard in this town to make it a better place and because of this, our town is growing. Many outsiders can feel and see the friendly community atmosphere, and the potential this town has.
You are our future, and one day the baton will be passed onto you to care and protect your community. Go out and enjoy yourselves that is expected, but remember to respect and take care of what is not yours.
