Dear Editor,
I would like to thank all the people that were involved in the hugely successful, Great Gatsby Gala that was held Saturday (4th June), in aid of Canowindra Preschool. We raised a massive $23 500, which will help with the plans to extend and diversify the services provided by the Preschool.
150 people attended, there were feathers, sequins, moustaches and hats everywhere, it was quite the spectacle. Thank you to all our party goers for embracing the spirit of Gatsby!
Thank you to the staff, parents and committee of Canowindra Preschool that helped in so many different ways, baking; collecting prizes; decorating; selling tickets and cleaning up. It was a huge team effort and couldn’t have happened without your help.
Every day businesses in and around Canowindra are approached to donate to something, and we were so very humbled by the overwhelming generosity of every single one of our sponsors.
Thank you to all of you. The Gala wouldn’t have ran as smoothly as it did without the help from Canowindra High Hospitality students and Karen Pickering, who helped prepare and serve the meal; Michaela Davis from Central West Events and Hire; Damien Stephenson, our auctioneer; Nick Jacobs our MC and Tommy Jeffs who was the major driving force behind the evening. A huge thank you to them all.
The Great Gatsby Gala, was an amazing example of wonderful community spirit; businesses, families and friends pulling together to make sure that our preschool has a secure and successful future.
