To the Editor,
Thanks for reporting our Easter Family Fun Day! Although I was handed the job of coordinator this year, the event is a true group effort, with many families and individuals contributing their time and money.
While the event is an initiative of the churches in Canowindra, we were very blessed to have help even from those who don’t ‘go to church’, but were content to serve others under Jesus’ name.
Canowindra High and Canowindra Public Schools also lent critical equipment, and Cabonne Council graciously allowed us to use Morris Park for the 4th year in a row.
We had a great time throwing a party for the community, and while there would be no party without Jesus (because Easter is about who Jesus is and what he did), it is also true that there would have been no party without the community getting behind it, and I’m very grateful to all who had a hand in the day.

PS. This letter is prompted by the sentence “the Easter fun and celebration day hosted by David Bullock at Morris Park” in the lead story of the Apr 5, 2018 edition of the Phoenix. It really wasn’t just me!
