New Editor of the Canowindra Phoenix Verity Middleton
Dear Canowindra community,
What a week we have had, with the banning of news on Facebook by Facebook. It was a devastating blow to all at the Phoenix Group of Newspapers, but it was a flash in the pan.
Just as this issue is about to go to print, I received the news that Facebook will completely reverse their decision in the coming days. This is not only a win for us in media, but also a win for all Australians, particularly rural Australians, who more often rely on Facebook to share important news and advise their community of important matters.
I want to take this space to remind you to keep sharing your news with the Phoenix and in turn the community and thank you for your continued support.
It is a joy to be your editor,
Verity Middleton.
