Ladies Golf

1 April, 2015 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

On Wednesday 14 players participated in the Annual President V Captain Day 4BBB Stableford Event kindly sponsored by Edna & Janet. With partners already chosen, the pairs were drawn into the Presidents Team or the Captains Team to solve the big question; “Will we have to cook for the other team?”
The winning pair for the day was Annette Thomas & Eileen Wilson with 39 Stableford points, which was closely followed by Edna Hughes & Rhonda Ward on 37 points. With 4 players completing 9 holes, the 9 hole competition winner was Margie Sharpe. It is great to see Faye Thomas back; very special birthday wishes to you today Faye. Three ladies played at Wentworth on Sunday and had a most enjoyable day. Thelma scored a prize in the raffle & Roslyn had the longest drive, (she won a magical pen!)
This Week – Monday pennants vs. Forbes, Wed 1st April will be a Par Event, Wed 8th April 2nd Stableford Event & Northcott Spoon.
Enjoy Easter, there are Fun Days at the club over the weekend, travel safe & enjoy catching up with family & friends. Answer to the quiz: Captains Team (92 pts) is cooking for the Presidents team (111 pts), the word is, it was rigged since there’s a baker in the background!
