Ladies Golf

10 September, 2020 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Aside from a strong breeze every now and then Wednesdays weather was perfect and 13 players enjoyed our 6th Monthly Medal and Putting day.

The winner of the monthly medal was Ros Partridge with a lovely 75 nett. We now have 6 finalists for the Medal of Medals round to be held on September 30th.

Lorrae won the putting with only 30 putts; isn’t that the old adage “Hit for show and putt for dough”.

Division one winner for the day was Ros and Helen Kemper won division two with 79 nett. The nearest the pin was won by Lorrae on the 4th only to be pipped by Collette on the 13th by “this much” .

There were Gobble/Birdies by Ros, Collette and Lorrae and Helen Kemper managed a birdie. Lorrae won the ball sweep which she accepted gratefully after losing her ball and Ros won the wheel.

This Thursday (today) is our tournament and we will have visitors from Cowra, the two Orange clubs, Forbes and Grenfell. Grenfell has their tournament on Sunday 20th September, a 2 person Ambrose day, both Ladies and Men, separate competitions on the same day.

Once again a reminder for our clubs Pink Fun Day on Saturday 19th September.
