Just A Short Drive To Mudgee

The Mudgee Region includes the historic towns of Gulgong, Kandos, Mudgee and Rylstone.

The region is a peaceful retreat with plenty to offer – fine wines, quality accommodation, spectacular scenery, a four-season climate and warm, hospitable service. Locals love where they live, and they welcome you to share its natural abundance and beauty.

The Mudgee Region is also known for its wild landscapes and peaceful waterways which support a diversity of wildlife. If you’re a passionate cyclist or a recreational rider, a tour through the region is guaranteed an enjoyable and scenic ride. For suggested routes, information and safety tips visit www.visitmudgeeregion.com.au/exploretheregion

The Mudgee Region is famous for its tapestry of vineyards and wine. Gooree Park – has long been associated with the Thouroughbred racing industry, but did you know they are also the producers of superb Mudgee Wines. Call into their cellar door on the Castlereagh Highway and enjoy wine tasting at their picturesque horse stud. They also host unique events on their spectacular property such as Wine and Wagyu BBQ’s, Bubble Breakfasts at the track, a red carpet Melbourne Cup function, High Tea in the stables to name a few. Check out their website www.gooreepark.com.au or call the cellar door on 6378 1800.

The region boasts a thriving food scene dating back to 1884, now with monthly farmers markets and a diverse range of cafes and restaurants in Gulgong, Kandos, Mudgee and Rylstone. Outside The Square (OTS) is a café that provides real food sourced and prepared with care and heart. Every day soon after the sun is up; OTS staff are baking fresh cakes and preparing fresh ingredients for the day. OTS only use REAL ingredients, and make pretty much everything themselves, and they use the best and freshest they can find. So why not visit them and enjoy their freshly made cakes and salads, homemade mayos and relishes, freshly roasted carefully made coffee, raspberry milkshakes based on real raspberries, yummy fair trade cocoa chocolate milkshake syrup, chocolate brownies, new cheesecake flavours, fresh frittatas and homemade sorbet.
