Canowindra Tyre Service played at home on Saturday and having won the toss sent Cowra Scorchers into bat. Beau, Mitch S, Riley, Jack and Marcus
applied early pressure with the ball but were unable to pick up wickets for our effort. Cowra’s batsmen pressed on with their innings to finish at 3/106. We charged out to bat like a bull in a china shop thinking we could blast our way to victory. Instead all we gained was the sound of our castle being knocked over due to poor shot selection.
Jack, Campbell and Fraser were the only batsmen to occupy the crease for an extended period. After our overs we managed to make 63 all out. The Canowindra Tyre Service Player of the Week went to Jack Smyth for an allround solid effort.
Levi Strange was awarded the Canowindra Services Club encouragement award for continued improvement of his skills.
