Dear Editor,
The letter you published from Paul Newell, February 20th, his comment for which he’s entitled to on John Cobb’s front page proposal to build a dam, I totally disagree with.
I can relate to his interpretation of John Cobb’s proposal but I too have an opinion. At least he’s trying to make some type of in road into the system in which we live. The infrastructure that he’s talking about can only be good for everyone concerned, who would be involved in this construction and at least he’s trying to make a difference.
I for one have seen quite a few changes of government and have heard all their broken promises of infrastructure until they are elected, once in office it’s never heard of again
One very good example was Nick Griener and his 3×3 petrol tax that was to go towards the infrastructure and upgrading of roads, where was that money channelled into? Where would we be without dams? The more water we save the better off we are, droughts will prove that.
