Local Land Services Annual Land and Stock Return (ALSR) is an annual farm census and provides important information on land use and livestock numbers across the state.
Completing your Annual Land and Stock Return is straight forward and secure via the online portal. If an online submission isn’t for you, feel free to use the provided form and reply-paid envelope to send back the hard copy form.
An accurate documentation of livestock numbers statewide is critical. Your Annual Land and Stock Return (ALSR) not only helps Local Land Services in understanding land use across NSW but also helps Local Land Services (LLS) protect NSW’s primary industries from pests, diseases, and emergencies. It provides an important statewide snapshot of land use and livestock numbers as at 30 June each year.
Failing to submit your return may lead to penalties on your next Local Land Services rates notice, regardless of your livestock ownership status. You have until August 31 to complete the return. Visit nsw.gov.au/alsr or reach out to the LLS team on 1300 795 299 to learn more.
