HSC Results 2013

19 December, 2013 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

After thirteen years of schooling, four weeks of examinations and five weeks of waiting the class of 2013 have finally been able to celebrate their HSC successes with the release of the 2013 Higher School Certificate results on Wednesday this week.

The results were received with a range of emotions for the 33 students from Canowindra High School who successfully studied and completed their HSC across 21 courses.

HSCThe best performances for the school were recorded in Senior Science, Agriculture, Visual Arts, Hospitality, Primary Industries and, Design and Technology where students achieved a total of 4 band 6’s and 14 band 5’s.

Overall the results were solid and complimented the student’s previous success in being recognised at the school’s Annual Presentation Night and gaining early entry to a range of universities. Many students achieved their personal best and are to be congratulated for their commitment and hard work. On an individual level three students were recognised on the Merit List as distinguished achievers – Imogen Brennan, Denise Duff and Stewart Russell in Senior Science and Stuart Russell also in Agriculture.

These students also achieved sound results in their other subjects along with Philippa Myers, Rachel Pace, Taneil Thornberry, Courtney Wilson and Tim Wythes who all achieved multiple band 5’s.

The teachers are very pleased with the student’s performance and commend them for their success and achievement of the rewards of their study and preparation. For those intending to attend university the school is looking forward to now hearing of their success with gaining the required University Admissions Index (UAI).
