The Canowindra CWA has a lot to be happy about this week following finalisations of much needed renovations to the CWA Hall’s kitchen on Blatchford Street. Members, generous donors, tradesmen and anyone else who fancied a cup of tea and a cake were invited to join the celebrations on Saturday.
President of the Canowindra CWA, Bev Taylor, said; “It’s been very successful and we’d like to offer a big thank you to all the tradespeople who worked on the building.” The afternoon was officially started by Mr Len Nash, one of several people who made a generous donation to the kitchen renovation project, who marked the occasion by cutting a cake.
“Members of the community are welcome to come and look at the resources and facilities on offer for them to hire for their own purposes. We’re hoping for lots of Christmas parties!” said Bev; “If anyone would like to inspect the facilities or have any questions please ask Jenny Middleton or myself. All in all, this was a lovely way to celebrate a bleak, wet winters day!” she concluded.
