Harvest Community Church Great Hot Cross Bun Giveaway

1 April, 2026 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Harvest Community Church will be distributing free hot corss buns to the local community on Good Firday.

On the back of the massive Great Pancake Give-away in February, Harvest Community Church has teamed up with Canowindra Country Bakehouse to provide the local community with fee hot cross buns on Friday 3 April – Good Friday.

After the Good Friday service, the parishioners of Harvest Community Church (andany guests), will move into the parish hall and get to work placing 1,000 hot cross buns into bags.

A team of volunteers will then go house to house across Canowindra, Woodstock and the other local communities, distributing the buns to people’s homes.

So, please don’t be worried if someone comes knocking at your door around 11am on Friday, just some friendly locals handing out free hot cross buns.

Harvest Community Church will have a combined service at 9am on Friday 3 April (Good Friday) and then services at St Matthews, Woodstock at 8am, All Saints, Canowindra at 10:30am and Cranbury Uniting Church, Cranbury on Sunday on Sunday 5 April to celebrate Easter. All are of course welcome.
