Moyne Roshana Care residents enjoying the first birthday celebrations.
On Tuesday 1st July, Moyne celebrated it’s first year under new ownership by Roshana Care Group.
Moyne has come a very long way in 12 months, and they celebrated this in style on Friday with a party to mark the occasion.
Guests enjoyed lots of goodies, fun and dancing. Speeches were made by Manager Rox Sciberras, Lifestyle Coordinator Melissa Delaney and residents Elaine Fragar and Paulie Beath. A lovely cake was designed by Chef Manager Michelle Ryan.
Moyne has come ahead leaps and bounds since 1 July 2024 when Roshana Care Group took ownership. Many people were worried, confused and disillusioned at the changes about to commence at Moyne.
Now 12 months on, Roshana Care Group has proven its commitment and genuine care for our residents and are very focused on keeping the charm of the facility and the connection to the Canowindra Community.
Many renovations have already been made such as the modernisation of both entryways, courtyards have had a facelift with old pavers removed and cement footpaths added, new paint work has been completed inside and will soon be started outside. The Rosemary and Thyme Coffee Shop has been completed, and a staff member has been employed. New nurses’ stations have been added to Yallambee Wing and Illoura Wing so that residents and families can have easier access to staff when required.
Moyne now caters for Uralaba Roshana Care in Carcoar and Lee Roshana Care in Blayney every day of the week for lunch and dinner meals and they are transported to the facilities twice a day. Many more improvements have commenced, and even more are yet to begin such as improving and updating the Memory Support Unit.
On behalf of all the Residents, Management and Staff of Moyne, we wish to thank Roshana Care for all they are doing for our home. We are excited for what lays ahead.
If you have not been to visit in a while, why not come out and pay us a visit and have a look around. Fridays at 2pm we have happy hour, and it is the best time of the whole week, so why not come out then for a cool drink and dance. The more the merrier we say, but you just might need earmuffs as we like the music loud!
