Biodiversity Month is in full swing across the region, with communities coming together throughout September to celebrate the incredible plants, animals and ecosystems that make our region unique.
Together with community groups and partners, Local Land Services (LLS) are supporting a diverse program of activities designed to connect you with nature while highlighting the importance of conservation. From wildlife spotlighting and citizen science projects to tree planting, sustainable gardening workshops and familyfriendly community events, there is something for all ages and interests.
The month-long celebration provides opportunities for you to learn from local experts, explore the region’s natural landscapes and get involved in practical actions that support biodiversity. Many activities will also contribute directly to conservation outcomes, helping to protect native species and improve habitat across the region.
Whether your interest lies in fur, feathers, scales or flora, Biodiversity Month is a chance to discover, learn and celebrate the remarkable biodiversity found right on our doorstep.
