All are invited to experience the spirit of the United Kingdom in the heart of Cowra this March at the annual Festival of International Understanding.
Celebrating Australia’s diversity since 1964, the three-day event will promote the unique offerings of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, who have been selected as this year’s guest nation.
The March 27 – 29 festivities include the return of the annual parade and carnival with a UK twist, as well as the inaugural ‘The Long Lunch’, a new event celebrating the guest nation’s unique cuisine.
Member for Cootamundra, Steph Cooke, joined Cowra Council representatives to formally announce this year’s festival as excitement builds.
“The Festival of International Understanding is just one of many events in the Cootamundra Electorate that demonstrates our commitment to understanding other cultures,” Ms Cooke said.
“Year after year, Cowra Council and the community put on a spectacular event for us all to enjoy, and I’m really looking forward to this year’s festival.”
