The team at Viridis Ag have spent November growing, waiting, shaping, waiting and now admiring their new “Mo’s” as the entire group of employees took part in Movember.
“We started participating in Movember about 8 years ago when a former Manager I worked with committed suicide,” said Rob Atkinson, Manager at Viridis Ag.
The men have been participating in Movember for the past 8 years and there has been some stiff competition along the way with who can grow the best Mo! This year the best Mo again went to Brad Howard with a handle bar type Mo stretching all the way down to his chin. The team enjoy the banter and bonding that Movember creates in their work team.
The Phoenix was lucky enough to catch up with the Viridis Ag team last week whilst they were harvesting wheat at “The Grove” on Cargo Road.
Brad Howard is also a member of the Canowindra Cricket team who are participating in Movember too and to date have raised approximately $200.
“With the ongoing drought, Movember is very important in rural Australia to raise awareness about Men’s Health especially depression in farmers doing it tough,” said Brad.
Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health. They are addressing some of the biggest health issues faced by men including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention.
