Aquafitness classes set to commence on Monday 1 December.
The popular annual Aquafitness Program is set to return to the Canowindra pool on Monday 1 December for the 2025/2026 season. Aquafitness is for adults of all ages and fitness levels.
Run by the Canowindra Health Service Physiotherapy Department, this program is a proven way to help adults stay active and reduce their risk of falls. Exercising in water is great cardio, gentle on the joints, and especially helpful for older adults and those with arthritis.
Each class goes for one hour and you can stay and swim afterwards. Participants will need to bring swimmers or tshirt and shorts, hat, sunscreen and drink bottle.
The program will run at the Canowindra Swimming Pool on Mondays and Thursdays at 9am, with participants asked to arrive 10 – 15 mins early so the class can start on time.
Cabonne Council is implementing a new system whereby you must must have a 10 visit pass or season ticket to attend group.
Costs for passes and season tickets are as follows: 10 visit pass adult $45 or pensioner $36. Season ticket, family $200, single adult $135, pensioner, concession card holder $108.
Registration Forms need to be filled out before you can attend Aquafitness and can be collected from the Physio Department, in case you need a medical consent form done by your Doctor.
If you have any questions, please call the Canowindra Health Service Physiotherapy Department on 6364 4327 and speak to to Angela, Alicia or Danni.
