Head down to Memorial Park this Saturday for Carols by Candlelight
The holiday spirit is spreading like glitter in Canowindra and the festive elves from the Canowindra Hospital Auxiliary are working ’round the clock to ensure that Carols by Candlelight is the brightest, merriest, and most musical event of the season.
Head down to Memorial Park from 6pm, this Saturday 9th December and rock around the Christmas tree at this free concert. Battery operated candles will be available for sale on the night.
Jenny Weaver, form the Canowindra Hospital Auxiliary, said: “We felt that a large proportion of Canowindra’s children were missing out on Christmas celebrations in the town, since the COVID outbreak, and we would love to see the smiling, happy faces of our young people enjoying this special time of the year.”
The jolly fat man himself, Santa Claus and his Elf helper will be making a special appearance with lollies and drinks for the little ones. And if your tummy starts rumbling, the Canowindra Lions Club have got you covered with their famous BBQ. Or bring a picnic and a blanket to sit on, or fold-up chairs, to relax and enjoy the night.
In the event of inclement weather the venue will move to the Community Hall at the Canowindra Services Club.
So, put on your ugliest Christmas sweater, grab your family and friends, and come celebrate with as we ring in the season with joy, love, and a touch of Christmas magic. It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and it’s all happening at Carols by Candlelight!
