Riverbank business is blossoming thanks to new Owner, Deborah Flannery. The café next to the Gallery is already beginning to get regulars, largely thanks to its early opening time of 6am and relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Fruit sticks, cakes and other snacks are now available as a quick-fix for breakfast and Deb is hoping to expand into salads as the days get hotter. “I want to be licensed and start doing takeaway salads that are easy to grab when you’re on the run but delicious and healthy at the same time” says Deb. Not that you would want to run anywhere once you sit down in the garden, which is veiled from the main road by trees and surrounded by a white picket fence. “Its children and animal friendly, when the kids are here we close the gate so they’re safe but can still enjoy the outdoors. It’s my garden of Eden!” says Deb. Although everything is nearly up and running the official date for the Grand Opening will be April 4th, Deborah’s birthday. “It’s taking time because all that I’m doing I want to do properly” says Deb. The care and hours spent are evident, come see for yourself and enjoy a coffee in the most beautiful garden on Gaskill Street.
