Canowindra@home celebrated yet another successful Twilight Markets on Saturday 21st October at Memorial Park in Canowindra.
Locals flocked to the markets to enjoy the best of the regions food and beverages with Rob and Dale’s 2TeT Jazz Aspects adding a relaxed vibe to the afternoon.
Many people reported that this was by the far the most enjoyable Twilight Market they’ve encountered and the weather came around this year to add to the wonderful atmosphere of the evening.
The not-for-profit organisation proudly presented a range of wine and food from the local region along with new comers Pioneer Brewing Company who happily featured their beer amongst the wineries. Pete from PBC commented “The Canowindra Twilight Markets aligns very well with our vision for Pioneer Brewing of Quality, Consistency, Independence & Community, thank you to the
community of Canowindra and visitors for welcoming us for the first time on Saturday. Great to see so many renowned producers
in our local area”.
Market goers were also enjoying the regular selection of delicious chutneys, cakes, fudge and meats from the local area. The family friendly event featured a very popular face-painting stand with children ranging from Spiderman to Butterflies appearing frequently around the markets!
President of the Canowindra@home committee Sam Statham said he was “Very pleased with the turnout that it was well supported and was great to have such a fun vibe and community spirit”. He praised the hard work put in by the committee especially by the artistic director Michelle Porter and Fumie Shortman who created such a wonderful atmosphere. He also noted that he had met several tourists who had “just been passing through” and ended staying in Canowindra for the evening after stopping for a look, which is always a bonus for the local community.
