Cheney Suthers Lawyers will be presenting a Masterclass on farm succession planning at the ANFD.
A free masterclass aimed at helping farmers plan for the future of their land and legacy will be held at the Australian National Field Days (ANFD) on Friday 24 October 2025.
Presented by Cheney Suthers Lawyers Directors Kirsty Evans and Dannielle Ford, the session will offer practical and legal guidance on farm succession planning — a topic of growing importance for farming families across Australia.
“A farm without a succession plan risks more than the land — it risks relationships.
Come and learn how to build clarity, not conflict. We’re running a farm succession workshop, and you’ll learn about our practical 8- step action plan to put into place and how to start those conversations that lead to solutions.” said Dannielle Ford.
The masterclass will explore key aspects of farm succession planning, including how to assess the financial health of your operation, identify and prepare successors, set future goals, understand legal and estate planning essentials, and develop a clear, realistic transition timeline.
The session is free for ANFD ticket holders, but registration is essential. Attendees can secure their spot by selecting the Farm Succession Workshop when purchasing their ticket via the ANFD website.
“Farm succession planning isn’t just about money — it’s about family, legacy, and peace of mind” added Kirsty Evans.
The Australian National Field Days, held annually in Borenore, is one of the country’s longest-running agricultural events, drawing thousands of visitors.
