As the devastating flood crisis unfolds at our front door, our community members have been impacted and our friends and family in the surrounding areas have been absolutely devastated. Below is how you can help and get involved, if you are able, as we rebuild from this crisis.
If you have been impacted, please don’t hesitate to contact The Canowindra Phoenix and we will put you in contact with the correct people.
Canowindra Services Club
Canowindra Services Club is operating as a collection point for donations to assist our community and our neighbours in Eugowra. If you have sleeping bags, blankets, clothing, pillows or items of a bulky nature, please contact the Canowindra Services Club or Tom Beath.
Lawrence’s IGA Canowindra
Lawrence’s IGA Canowindra is taking non perishable food donations. Please drop them to the front of the store.
Canowindra High School
Canowindra High School is a drop off point for clothing, shoes, jackets and items of that nature. Please come directly to the front office.
Canowindra Balloon Challenge
The Canowindra Balloon Challenge is reaching out to its 10,000 followers on facebook to ask for assistance for our community. They have started a crowdfunding page for monetary donations. Canowindra Balloon Challenge has donated $2,000 to kick off the funding. Thank you
There are not enough words that can express a message of thanks and appreciation to those people that have spent tireless hours of their time to help others.
In next week’s issue, we are dedicating it to those people who have gone above and beyond for other people.
If you would like to give a message of thanks, please send your message and images, if you would like to include one, to editor@canowindraphoenix.com.au
