The Canowindra Show is just around the corner and is set to be a jam-packed weekend. This year it will be held on Friday and Saturday the 23rd-24th of September and it will be the 114th year. The show is a great family occasion with heaps to see and do for all ages with rides, sports shear, team penning, animal nursery and much more.
On Friday the day will kick off with the horse and livestock events starting from 9am. Free kids entertainment will be running from 4-6pm and family competitions and races will be at 7pm. There will be live music at the bar followed by the fireworks display at 8pm.
Saturday is full of activities with events happening all throughout the day. Be sure to pop into the pavilion to see all of the successful exhibits and then head over to the vintage tractor and car display. Wood chopping and novelty games will also be held during the day then at 1.15pm the Jillaroo and Jackaroo competition will be announced. This will then be followed by the official opening of the show at 2pm and sashing of Miss Showgirls at 2.15pm. This year there will be a Grand Parade at 2.30pm to showcase all of the winners from the weekend.
