Finns Store Goes From Strength to Strength

27 September, 2017 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

It is hard to believe that back in October 2010 after months of painstaking restoration and renovation Jackie and Geoff Yeo reopened
the doors of the iconic Finns Store. The transformation of this iconic building into a boutique cafe, gift shop, gallery and function centre would not be out of place in any cosmopolitan city.

Since re-opening the store the Ducks Back Studio featuring the art of Heather Vallance and craftsmanship of Peter Lowe has established itself in the gallery room adding to the art culture of Canowindra. Geoff during this time has completed a law degree being admitted as a solicitor opening a successful sub branch of Dubbo firm Peacockes Solicitors also under the same roof.

It is not hard to see why Geoff and  Jackie are recognised as a driving force for local tourism, business and historical preservation.

Finns Store is open Thursday to Sunday taking advantage of the many travellers seeking authentic Australian history and hospitality. The store provides the discerning shopper with all manner of gift and homewares, art, clothing, jewellery and furniture.

Jackie and Geoff expend much effort and expense in sourcing artefacts, furniture and oddities which delight and amaze the
unexpecting visitor. The store provides exceptionally good value food which can be matched to local wines; also serving coffee which has made the store the premier coffee destination of Cabonne.

This long weekend call in and celebrate with Jackie and Geoff their hard work and commitment to Canowindra and beyond.
