Celebrating 25 years of hot shorts, Flickerfest is Australia’s leading short film festival. Now touring throughout Australia to more than 50 venues, Flickerfest is thrilled to be bringing the National Tour back to Canowindra with an exciting programme which will screen on Saturday 2nd April at Rosnay Vineyards. Audiences can enjoy an outdoor screening under the stars while enjoying drinks from the Rosnay wine bar and delicious PJ’s wood-fired pizzas available from 6pm when gates open, or bring along a blanket and a picnic instead. At 8pm the hugely popular Best of Australian Shorts programme will screen, featuring a range of wonderful new short films including ‘Nan And A Whole Lot Of Trouble’ which tackles cultural taboos with warmth and humour and ‘Ernie Biscuit’, a film by Academy Award winner Adam Elliot.
This clever animation follows a lonely, deaf Parisian Taxidermist whose life is turned upside down by the arrival of a dead pigeon. Don’t miss out on Flickerfest 2016 in Canowindra. Stay overnight at Rosnay farm or in the local area, enjoy fine wine, great films and glorious country air. Tickets are available at the gate for $20 or to book call 6344 3215. We’ll see you at the vineyard!
